What does a “successful” wedding feel like to you?

The bride, groom and their families feeling like they could enjoy the day and count on me to take care of everything else. Totally hands off!

What detail has the biggest impact on guest experience?

A good MC! They can totally change the vibe of the night. You want someone who is high energy, personal and organized.

Favorite late-night wedding snack?

Chick-Fil-A

What’s your ideal Saturday when you’re not working a wedding?

Traveling or spending time with my friends somewhere with live music and dancing.

Your favorite dance floor song that always gets people moving?

Something that is nostalgic for the bride, groom and some of the guests. It’s always so fun when you see people light up with a memory and join the dance floor.

We hired Kelsey to be our day-of coordinator and she was a rockstar! I wanted to have my hand in every detail, so day-of coordination was perfect for us. She gave us resources right when we hired SE, and then became hands-on about two month out from our wedding date! She made a reference document for key people, answered questions, and directed people to reach out to her instead of me as the wedding date approached. She also HUSTLED the day of our wedding getting many things set up, coordinated, and decided so that I could relax. My phrase of the day was “I’m not sure, ask Kelsey.” She was Type A so I didn’t have to be. On top of all that, she was still a calming presence – she commanded the room but never made us feel rushed or stressed, even as things changed. Couldn’t recommend her enough and so thankful she was part of our wedding team!
